Unanimous Murder and Manslaughter Acquittal at the Old Bailey

Katerina Tsibouklis, Orlando Sanchez and their erstwhile colleague Noor Elbaradie, instructing Laurie-Anne Power KC and Emma Stuart-Smith of 25 Bedford Row Chambers, secured an acquittal of both murder and manslaughter for their vulnerable 16 year old client at the Old Bailey.

X was a child charged in a multi-handed joint enterprise murder at the Old Bailey. He was vulnerable due to his young age and his limited command of the English language.

Kat and Noor, alongside instructed counsel, worked tirelessly to defend X. Through meticulous preparation and the use of a CCTV expert, they were able to put forward crucial evidence supporting X’s account as to his movements at the material time. This ultimately led to his unanimous acquittal of murder and manslaughter. X was found guilty of violent disorder, a much less serious charge.
